Tad has over 20 years of widely varied experience in lighting. Although an engineering graduate, he worked initially in the world of theatre, including key roles with DHA Lighting working on plays and musicals around the world. Following a post-grad in 1999 at UCL's Bartlett School of Architecture, he worked with design firm Pinniger & Partners and subsequently as an independent consultant on varied projects in the UK and abroad. Building on this experience, Tad spent time working with renowned, German, lighting manufacturer, ERCO to develop technical , design and project management training programmes for the company’s design teams worldwide, coordinating a global network of trainers and technical managers. Based in London, he also worked with the staff and clients of ERCO UK on numerous high-profile projects. Now, as Design Director for Light Bureau, Tad has returned to indulging a passion for real project work, to which he brings an unusual combination of skills – creative, technical and commercial. He divides his time between clients and the design team, as well as being responsible for the operations and strategy of the business. He also finds time for a little evangelism.

Tad has authored and delivered seminars for architects and lectured extensively. He is an associate member of the International Association of Lighting Designers, also a professional member of the Society of Light and Lighting, serving on committees responsible for the London events programme and producing the new UK museum lighting guidelines (LG8) for which he is the technical editor.
